A Real Fire Engine for Under £100,000
John Dennis Coachbuilders showed off their new PolyBilt Lite Compact Eco Pumper at November 2011's Emergency Services Show held at Stoneleigh Showground.
The real compact vehicle - only 2.1m wide by 6.3m long and 2.55m high - is also a real truck, on a 7-tonne Mitsubishi platform with the largest payload in its class. The tank holds a generous 1000 litres of water, and the Eco Pumper can carry 1000 kg of equipment. Compact it is, but still has room for three crew with traditional BA in the EN1846 cab.
As you would expect, the Eco Pumper has green credentials too, with its 100% recyclable body, made of PolyBilt Lite for strength without weight. For real capability it's also equipped with a Darley pump, delivering good flow at high or low pressure.
And at £99,950, this is real value!
