PolyBilt's Qualities

PolyBilt is a specially formulated copolymer.   Exclusively available in the UK from JDC, PolyBilt is a unique, cost-effective alternative to fibreglass composite or aluminium constructions.  It excels by its body strength, resulting in stronger physical properties in either high or low-temperature applications.  Sledgehammer and bullet-tested, it does not dent, absorbs impact energy and does not transfer collision forces to other components for the vehicle body.

Fire brigades all over the world favour PolyBilt due to its flexibility, allowing integral services routing as well as integral water and foam tanks.  PolyBilt bodies come with a lifetime warranty and can be transferred to other chassis

Polyprene is a specially formulated copolymer. The material is well suited for fire appliance bodies and similar components because Polyprene is strong enough to resist cracking and fatigue resulting from constant movement.  Polyprene can be painted and repaired easily when damaged.   Polyprene will not rust, corrode, crack, chip or peel.   Polyprene welds are impervious to microbial attack.

Body Strength - Polyprene exhibits high tensile strength which results in stronger physical properties in either high or low temperature applications. Polyprene is significantly stronger than fibreglass-based technologies, and ten times stronger than polyethylene.

Impact Resistant - Sledgehammer and bullet-tested; won't dent; absorbs impact energy; doesn't transfer collision forces to other components of the body, keeping repair costs to a minimum.

Heat Tolerant - Tests at 400º F for ten minutes showed no visible deformity.

Easy to Repair - Combining basic steel-welding and carpentry skills for easy repairs; simply cut out damaged part, splice and reweld.  The repaired section is as strong as new.

Recyclable - Totally recyclable at the end of its long life!

Vehicle Finish - Polyprene may be painted for an excellent, reliable finish for years to come.  Also, a five-year warranty is available from the paint manufacturer.
